There are many ways to get your kids to eat those little green goodies.  You just need to know what to do.

A good thing to try is cutting them up into small finger foods.  Kids love to eat things with their hands.  If they can pick it up then it’s something that they want to eat.  As you may remember when you were a child you ate anything that you could hang on to.

There are also other ways to get them eating their veggies, such as puree’.  You can add this mixture to recipes that you already make and the kids won’t know the difference.  That is kind of a tricky way to get them to eat them, but what they don’t know won’t hurt them.  You can find many books at your local library or online to help you with recipes that add this kind of vegetable mixture to foods you already may make.  You can add this to anything from cookies to cakes to pasta and staple foods.

Something that we do at our house to get the kids to eat the vegetables is to make a deal that they try something new each meal and then they can have some kind of dessert as a reward.  This has worked well for us and is something to think about when you are trying to get your kids to eat well.

Getting your kids to eat those yummy vegetables can also depend on how you eat and how you may view them.  If you set a good example of healthy eating, then your kids will most likely want to eat them.  This will make your job so much easier in the long run and you will have your kids eating right and surprising their teachers with their good eating habits.
