Meal Ideas for the new vegan eater

240px-brussels_sprout_closeup.jpgThere are many ways that you can adjust what you are eating now to a healthier and vegan friendly lifestyle.  Check out these meal ideas to help get you started. 

Breakfast

Many of these great ideas for breakfast you may have already tried and might even be eating them on a regular basis. 

Pancakes,Soy Yogurt,Fruit Smoothie,Cereal with soy or rice milk,Granola with soy or rice milk,Bagel with jelly (my personal favorite).

 

Lunch and Dinner

I found that many of us are already eating these kinds of foods and not realizing it.  Many of these foods are easy to make and taste as good if not better then foods with meat products.  This also helps to make the transition easier for those of us that maybe are not quite ready to leap all the way to a vegan lifestyle, but maybe are starting to take baby steps. Peanut butter and Jelly, Grain or soy burger, Veggie hotdog, Veggie lunchmeat sandwhich, Baked or mashed potatoes, French Fries, Tofu stir fry, Pasta, Bean Burrito,

 

Snacks

Snacks throughout the day will help you to make it to your next meal and some of them are a tasty as the meals themselves. Pretzels, Popcorn,

Sunflower seeds,

Chips and salsa, Fruits, Resins,  

Figs,

 

What ever you decide to eat while you are starting your vegan diet, you should take pride in the fact that you are starting your journey to eating better and living longer.  You may even find your kids sneaking pretzels into their lunchboxes.  There are many options you will have to choose from and many ways to prepare your vegan meals. You may even find that vegan diets are a tasty and fun as eating a meat filled diet, maybe even more.
